What is your favorite part of helping brides at The Wedding Place?

The fact that all brides are different and approach their wedding differently. Each bride has a vision of her day and it’s a joy to help her achieve that vision! There’s never a dull moment.

What kind of advice would you give brides about dress shopping?

Buy your gown from the salon that you most enjoyed visiting. You’ll be dealing with them a lot and you should be comfortable there and not be treated like a number!

There may be one “soul mate” for each of us, but there’s more than one dress that can be “the one.” It’s ok if you don’t burst into tears and “know“ that it’s right …. Some of us just don’t have that moment.

Limit your guests. While you’ll probably not want to make this decision alone, an army of “helpers” will make the decision and shopping trip worse. If you bring five different women ,they will all have different opinions. Bring the one that knows your taste the best. Every girl gets one chance at this. Your wedding is just that….the bride’s day!

What do you like to do when you’re not working at The Wedding Place?

I love spending time with my husband of 30 years and family and friends. I love learning things and traveling. I’m an avid collector of vintage wedding memorabilia, vintage jewelry, and vintage Christmas decorations. Another passion of mine is designing mixed media altered art and jewelry. I adore my 5 charming and adorable cats!
